CourageKeepers An integrative approach to resilience and mental health The CourageKeepers workbook is a companion guide to CourageMakers, because sometimes conflicts, both internal and external prevent us from keeping the commitments and goals we set for ourselves. Addictions, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues may temporarily fling us into the coldest of darkness, but as CourageKeepers we can learn how to keep the flame of faith alive until we can find the renewed courage to achieve our dreams. CourageKeepers remind us of the core values that fuel the flame, and the character and qualities of grit, consistency, humor, mindfulness and provident living that help us be faithful in the little things which keep us steady on the path to well being. As CourageKeepers we can participate in loving communities to bear one another's burdens and lend a compassionate ear to each other's struggles as well as participate in one another's successes and accomplishments. As we develop empathy as well as self-sufficiency, we achieve the balance in relationships that promotes lasting friendships. Together we can overcome any challenge with the help of Our Heavenly Father and by personally and collectively adopting sound spiritual health, brain health and heart health principles. Applying these tools to our daily lives will foster resilience and lasting peace. I am a CourageKeeper, and I am keeping my faith alive by all my actions, words and deeds.
